My photographic journey began during Lockdown when I suddenly realised I had time to demystify the meaning of all those lettered dials on a camera and finally get off auto.
From the moment I tried to capture birds-in-flight I knew I had found a new obsession to replace my passion for gravity mountain biking.
My first camera was a Panasonic Lumix G3 in 2013 and quite frankly I didn’t know what a mirrorless compared to a DSLR was or what a M43 was compared to a full frame!
But I have stayed loyal to Panasonic Lumix and the M43 format, appreciating not only the quality but the convenience of size & weight.
I shoot with both a Lumix G9M2 and G9 which I couple with the following Panasonic Leica lens: 12-60mm, 50-200mm, 100-400mm and a 200mm prime. I use Manfrotto tripods and Three Legged Thing brackets & heads.
I enjoy all genres of photography but do favour being out & about in nature, especially early mornings and late evenings to catch those golden hour shots.
